👋 How to Use Evere — Bill Splitting & Expense App
Evere is an iOS app that makes it easy for couples and groups to split bills and settle up. It supports many currencies, so everything — from trips to everyday shared costs — lives in one app.
This guide will help you get the most out of Evere. Let’s start with the core concepts and the screen layout.
The 4 core concepts
Section titled “The 4 core concepts”Keep these four ideas in mind and everything else falls into place.
- Project — the “unit” of splitting. You create one per scene: a trip, dating, shared living, and so on. All expenses live inside a project.
- Base currency — the currency your settlement is calculated in. You choose it when you create the project.
- Participants — the members who share a project. People with the app can join via an invite link; people without it can be added by name.
- Settlement — Evere automatically works out “who pays whom, and how much.” Just keep logging expenses and you can check the settlement status anytime.
Screen layout (5 tabs)
Section titled “Screen layout (5 tabs)”There are 5 tabs at the bottom of Evere.
| Tab | Role |
|---|---|
| Projects | List, create, switch, and configure projects |
| Expenses | The list of expenses in the active project |
| Add | Log an expense |
| Settlement | The “who pays whom” result and settlement status |
| Settings | Account, plan, currency, notifications, and more |
The Expenses and Settlement tabs show the currently active project. Select a different project in the Projects tab to switch what they display.
